Take your real estate classes but also take a basic accounting course, real estate law, any finance course and a course in public speaking. Don’t laugh, you will use all those courses through your career. Also start talking to various brokers and let them know you are taking classes. Whether taking college courses along with taking real estate classes from various real estate companies or independent real estate schools be aware of the market you are in. Also talk to lenders so you know some of what is needed for your buyers. Please learn about Title & Escrow as well. Once you hang your license make sure you become a Buyers agent first not a Sellers agent. When you start with buyers you will be learning along with your buyers some of the issues that can come up in a transaction. If you start on the Sellers side you will be on the losing end of every transaction as most seasoned agents know who is new, knows the contingencies that will let them get out of the contract and you will be left standing holding the bag.

Hi Buttercup, I suggest you check out http://www.choicecamps.com. This free camp referral site lets you search for camps by location, compare camps, and watch videos and dvds of programs. The website allows you to compare camps by price and activities offered, so you are bound to find something that will fits your daughter?s interest in photography. As far as photography camps go, I would suggest you send her to an arts camp so she can meet other high school students who share her interests and still participate in fun summer camp activities. I am not sure what part of the country you are looking to send your daughter to camp in, but I know of a great arts camp in California called Oxbow Summer Art Camp. It really depends on where you love. In Los Angeles, there’s this school called FIDM. It’s mainly a school for fashion, but they have other subjects like Photography, music, interior decorating ect. They offer summer programs for high school kids; although, they are very expensive. Scholarships are given to students who demonstrate AMAZING skills. :]

What are good photography summer camps for high school students? My daughter would love to go to a photography camp this summer. Does anybody have any suggestions? She can take beautiful pictures with our Nikon D60, but has never had any formal training.

The University of Sheffield run good courses in Photography as does Hallam University in Sheffield. There’s a strong Photographic community in Sheffield which is well networked all over the World (networking is really important in any Media course), with over 20 exhibition spaces in the Town Centre alone. http://www.shu.ac.uk/prospectus/course/338/ To be honest a BSc in Photography doesn’t count for much, Photography is more about who you know not what you know – sad but true. Your judged purely on your images in the commercial world with or without a degree. The actual craft of taking good images in all conditions can be learnt in a couple or three years at a decent college and avoid the tuition fees. I do realise that going to Uni is more than just the course and has worth in it’s own right. Chris

If its Fine Art Photography you want then you wont beat Glasgow School of Art but beware, their selection is tough, tough, tough.You have to have an outstanding portfolio. Best of luck !
